Can I insure an AIR OPUS?

Yes it is important to have adequate insurance. Several insurance companies provide insurance for leisure vehicles, some offering discounts depending on security devices used etc.

Can the awning be stored inside the OPUS Camper during transit?

Yes, it is possible to store the awning inside the camper during transit. It fits on the floor in the main cabin area with the kitchen units fitting over the top.

Where can I store an AIR OPUS?

The AIR OPUS fits into most garages with an overall width of 201cm and length (closed) including the drawbar and hitch etc of 430cm. Alternatively you can store it on your driveway with the roof cover and storage cover (optional) to protect it throughout the year.

What are the yearly costs of owning an OPUS Camper?

We recommend having a service once a year, this can be carried out by an approved caravan workshop or an approved mobile workshop. It is also important to consider insurance costs and general maintenance costs – for example tyres, brakes, canvas treatment etc.

What kind of car do I need to tow an OPUS Camper?

You do not need a large car to tow an All-Road OPUS due to it being lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Many of our All-Road OPUS owners have mid-sized hatchbacks like the Ford Focus and VW Golf. Our Off-Road OPUS and ORX are heavier as they offer a different range of features and off-road chassis – these models require a larger tow vehicle and nose weight for the tow ball must also be checked. We are more than happy to offer further advice on this depending on your specific tow vehicle. You can also check the towing capacity of your vehicle online, paying attention to the braked trailer capabilities of your vehicle. You can also find the maximum nose weight on the tow ball itself or by researching the model of tow ball installed.

Why do my all of my OPUS rear lights flicker continuously or erroneously once connected to my vehicle?

The OPUS is fitted with LED technology (regulatory requirement). A small number of vehicle makes have a type of software that will prompt the rear LED’s to flicker or misbehave once connected. This is not a fault of the OPUS or its wiring. This issue rests with after-market tow-bar and cable interfacing installations, and vehicle software compatibility.  Thankfully, this can be remedied with the purchase of ‘plug-in’ type resistor boxes. Please ask your dealer for more information.

What does payload mean and how do I chose the correct payload?

Payload is the amount of weight you can add to the camper, either inside or not the roof. This is made up of optional extras, permanently fitted items and personal items.

Depending on the model of OPUS you are interested in will determine the payload options available. For our All-Road Model the standard package weighs 800kg, you can select an overall weight from 900-1500kg. Meaning you have the option of a 100kg to 700kg payload. Lifestyle packages such as the Voyager and Full Monty need the weights added to the standard 800kg. The payload can be selected in 50kg increments.

For our Off-Road Model the standard package weighs 1100kg, you can select overall weight from 1250-1750kg. Meaning you have the option of a 150-650kg payload. Lifestyle packages such as the Extreme need the weights added to the standard 1100kg. The payload can be selected in 50kg increments.

For our ORX Model the standard package weighs 1400kg, you can select overall weight from 1500kg-1750kg. Meaning you have the option of a 100kg-350kg payload. Lifestyle packages such as the Titan need the weights added to the standard 1400kg. The payload can be selected in 50kg increments.

How durable is the AIR tube technology?

The AIR tube technology we used is market leading and thoroughly tested. They are extremely durable, constructed from an internal PVC bladder then 2 additional layers of heavy grade poly-cotton. We offer a 2 year warranty on the AIR tubes.

If I wish to order an OPUS Camper how long do I have to wait?

Typically 2-8 weeks from order date to delivery/collection date. Obviously this is hugely depending on the time of year – your local dealer will be able to give you a more accurate delivery date depending on their stock levels etc.

How long does it take to set up the AIR Awning?

As they say practice makes perfect – approximately 30 minutes depending on experience and the site you are pitching on.

Where can I see an AIR OPUS Camper?

OPUS Campers can be viewed in the UK and Europe via our Approved Dealer Network. Each dealer has an in-store demonstrator model for you to explore. Click here to find your nearest dealer.
