Yes it is important to have adequate insurance. Yes, it is possible to store the awning inside the camper during transit. It fits on the floor in the main cabin area with the kitchen units fitting over the top.

The AIR OPUS fits into most garages with an overall width of 201cm and length (closed) including the drawbar and hitch etc of 430cm. Alternatively you can store it on your driveway with the roof cover and storage cover (optional) to protect it throughout the year.

We recommend having a service once a year, this can be carried out by an approved caravan workshop or an approved mobile workshop. It is also important to consider insurance costs and general maintenance costs – for example tyres, brakes, canvas treatment etc.

You do not need a large car to tow an AIR OPUS due to it being lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Many of our OPUS owners have mid-sized hatchbacks like the Ford Focus and VW Golf. You can check the towing capacity of your vehicle online, paying attention to the braked trailer capabilities of your vehicle.

The OPUS is fitted with LED technology (regulatory requirement). A small number of vehicle makes have a type of software that will prompt the rear LED’s to flicker or misbehave once connected. This is not a fault of the OPUS or its wiring. This issue rests with after-market tow-bar and cable interfacing installations, and vehicle software compatibility.  Thankfully, this can be remedied with the purchase of ‘plug-in’ type resistor boxes. Please ask your dealer for more information.

Payload is the amount of weight you are able to add to the camper, either inside or on the roof. This is made up of optional extras and personal items.

We offer four different payload options, depending on what your vehicle is able to tow and the driving licence you hold will help you decide on the most suitable payload. Most of our customers chose the 1050kg weight as this is suitable for most hatchback vehicles and newer licenses issued after 1st January 1997.

The standard AIR OPUS itself weights 800kg, so with the 1050kg option this leaves you 250kg for optional extras and personal items. Please see the DVLA website for more details on towing laws and restrictions.

The AIR tube technology we used is market leading and thoroughly tested. They are extremely durable, constructed from an internal PVC bladder then 2 additional layers of heavy grade poly-cotton. We offer a 2 year warranty on the AIR tubes.

Typically 2-8 weeks from order date to delivery/collection date. Obviously this is hugely depending on the time of year – your local dealer will be able to give you a more accurate delivery date depending on their stock levels etc.

As they say practice makes perfect – approximately 30 minutes depending on experience and the site you are pitching on.
